Seashells on the sea shore ......

Hi Everyone,

I tried my hand at yet another one of MZ's creations. Are you getting tired of seeing them??? lol This image is from the retired set sweet seasons. I love this set because there are 4 images and one of them is a snowman!!! For those of you that don't know I LOVE snowman so any set that has one in it is alright by me :)

The colors used on this card are tempting turquoise, baja breeze, soft sky, creamy caramel, close to cocoa, white gel pen. The canvas background that is still current was used over the entire image.

Thanks for looking!

Another Zindorf inspired card...

I just love her work and how she takes and makes a scene with her stamps. This is another one similar to hers. I didn't have the exact stamp set nor colors that she used but I am happy with the way it turned out. Hope you agree :)

The stamp images I used are from the Lovely as a Tree set, and the new set Inspired by Nature. I really like the grass image from the inspired by nature set. The colors I used were bashful blue, old olive, lavender lace, always artichoke, close to cocoa and whisper white.

Inspired by Nature....

Hi Everyone!

Today I actually had time to stamp. It has been a little bit since I have stamped anything so I am happy to have a new card and picture for you. I love Michelle's work and wanted to try the techniques myself so I grabbed a new set and went to work. If you haven't tried using your brayer you really need to give it a try!

These are the cards that my friend and I completed. We really love the way they turned out! Ya wanna guess which one I did?? LOL

The colors of cardstock that were used were Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, More Mustard, Black, Barely Banana & Brown. The grass is from the new stamp set Inspired by Nature. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this set. The arrows are from the arrow punch by SU. All products are Stampin UP! If you have any questions just email me!

DSP Gift bag..

Hi Ladies

Seem things never slow down enough lately for me to regularly update my blog :( I needed a quick gift bag to take over to my girlfriends house last night. It was her birthday recently and I had a stamp set she had been wanting so I gave it to her. All the quick little totes and bags I kept seeing online weren't big enough to put it in. So I remembered learning how to do this bag from my adopted upline. I hope you like it :)

It is made with 2 sheets of DSP so the dimensions of the bag are pretty big. I was able to put in the stamp set, tissue paper and card with plenty of room to spare. When I took it over to her house she loved it and I think was surprised when I told her I made it out of DSP. She then wanted the DSP paper but it is retired :( I still have some in my stash that I am going to give her ..wink wink.

Pictures as promised!!

Here are two of the make and takes that I did at convention.  The first one is one of those white paper totes that SIMG_2571U sells covered in DSP.  It is the new in color Tangerine Tango :)  The ribbon is the NEW so saffron twill, it is soooo soft and pretty.   I am loving this stamp set Inspired  by Nature.  It is a double mounted stamp so its like having 2 background stamps on one block!  When I first got the set I wasn't to sure about it, but since I have used it a few times I can say its going to be a favorite!!

The next picture is of a quick 8 x 8 scrapbook page.  Uses the new flower fusion felt flower in bajIMG_2572a breeze.  LOVE THEM!!  Thanks for looking!!

Treat Swap....

This is a new set that I received at Convention called..  Flight of the Butterfly.  It will be IMG_2555in the new catalog and you can order it after August 11th.  :)   I love this little treat box.  It just takes one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11" paper.  I used the Bali Breeze card stock with the Bali Breeze ink pad to make my own patterned paper.  Then I used Pacific Point with Kiwi Kiss to stamp the image and mat it. I also used the CAD to punch the holes for the white taffeta ribbon.  I love this color combination :)   If you have any questions just email me :)

I have returned!  It was a fun and exhausting time at Convention.  I think it is a must for any demonstrator to experience it at least once!  I won't ramble on here because again I know you just want to see the pictures.  Plus I am running on little DSC03657sleep so the more I type the more chance for typos :)

Here are some pictures of some of our new DSP! :)  Check back daily for different sneak peaks...  Subscribe and to get the latest updates and to keep in touch!

Sneak Peaks and In Color Comparison...

Today I took some pictures of the new "in colors" from SIMG_2494tampin Up!. I think they are going to be some fun colors to work with. I am surprised at how much I am liking the Pacific Point. My friends that know me will think that's odd since I am a "green" person myself. Now don't get me wrong I like Kiwi Kiss too but I like the Pacific Point much better than the Brilliant Blue we have now. Also just to point it out I noticed I spelled Brilliant wrong on the picture and it's a lot of work to change it so I just left it misspelled. Oh well, gives it character...LOL

 IMG_2531
I will be doing a color swatch key ring share starting Aug. 11th  so if anyone is interested email me at jenken03@earthlink.net for the details. Also if you pre-order a NEW catalog for $7.95 (plus $2.00 shipping) you will also receive a coupon for 5 yards FREE of assorted SU grosgrain ribbon with your 1st $50 order through me:) I love new customers... so join the fun!

I will be back later with more sneak peaks so stay tuned!

Stampin Spot "nugget" box...

Hi ladies,

Yeah it's almost the weekend!! That's a good thing and a bad thing as I am still preparing things for an open house I am having this weekend. Today I was working on things for display and little gifts to give out. I was making the nugget boxes to give one to everyone that comes and then it was as if a light bulb went off inside my head. (no comments from the peanut gallery :) I decided to change the dimensions a bit so that I could fit 2 Stampin Spots inside as a cute giveaway prize. Note the stamp, it's from one of the new hostess stamps from the new catalog. I love it!

You could also fit 1 incentive stamp and 1 stampin spot or change the dimensions just a little more and put 3 incentive stamps in it. It was fun to see all the things I could fit into it. I also decided to do a clear cover so that you could see whats inside. Tomorrow I am going to be making the ones with candy...yum yum. If you want the dimensions for these let me know.

Greetings Galore

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday!! Here is my take on the mini pizza box that I found on SCS. I am starting way early and making gifts to give during the holidays to family and friends. Maybe this year I will be ahead of the game instead of behind like normal :)

I decided to use up some retired DSP paper Recollections and Greetings Galore that will retire August 10, 2008 from Stampin Up! The size of the cards are 3"x3" and for 8 cards I only used 2 sheets of card stock and 1 sheet of DSP. I wanted the flowers to be the same colors of my card stock so I dyed them with reinkers. Now my fingers are dyed as well... I guess I could have used tweezers but that's not as fun!

Paperclip madness...lol

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday. Hubby and I just stayed at home today. I had to finish getting the supplies ready for an upcoming class and hubby needed to do things around the house. I love the Very Punny set from sell-a-bration not to mention it was free :) It is just a cute set all around for little things. I made some book
markers out of the jumbo paperclips. Someone actually placed an order for me to make some but wanted them for file markers. Here are pictures of both sets.

Recipe: Various colors from Stampin Up, Very Punny stamp set, scallop punch, circle punch

Journal makeover....

Hello everyone :) I was browsing the aisles of Michael's the other day when I came across this journal and thought to myself "I could do something with this". So here is what I came up with. I wanted you to see what type of journal I started with and of course the end result. I know just the right person to send this to.

Can't say who because then she would know! However there is a hint in the pictures...lol A rather big hint if you ask me :)
This is the inside of the journal and I didn't think want to leave it blue so I covered it as well. The spiral punch from Stampin Up! works great for this journal.

I hope she will really like it. I LOVE the saying on the front. lol :) Thanks for looking!!

Journal recipe:
Sassy Suzie (retired) SU! chocolate chip satin ribbon, pink grosgrain, berry bliss dsp, whisper white and chocolate chip cardstock. Most SU! products.

Happy Stamping!!

Embrace Life...

I love this paper from Stampin Up! called Ginger Blossoms. It coordinates with the stamp set Embrace Life. Unfortunately the DSP (designer series paper) Ginger Blossoms, the double stitched ribbon Groovy Guava and the cardstock colors that match it will be retiring August 10! So if you are loving these colors and papers as much as I am then you better stock up!

I made this cute little notebook for a secret sister of mine :) I just covered an existing notebook with paper and stamped some images. I used the scallop punch from Stampin Up! to give it a little wow!

Card Recipe: Ginger Blossoms DSP, Groovy Guava ribbon, word window punch, scallop punch, river rock & groovy guava cardstock, crop-a-dile.

A little Suspense :)

This is a new technique I saw on SCS and wanted to give it a try. I have never made a suspense card and I am rather happy with the results if I do say so myself :) This is going to be the card my Hawaii stamp club will be making. I hope they like it. The little picture is whats on the other side of the spinner. If you are interested in the supplies to make this card and many others you should join my Technique Binder Club (email me for more info).

Card
Recipe: Fresh Cuts Stamp Set, Wild Wasabi, Taken with Teal, Whisper White and Bali Breeze DSP. Purely Pomegranate double stitched ribbon. All items from Stampin Up! (some retiring August 10, 2008).

Just moved cards...

These are the cards I made when we moved from Hawaii to Texas. I knew I wanted to use the stamp set Boatloads of Fun from SU! It was just too fitting :) I love this set because you can use all of the accessories to put anything in the boat! If you notice I did each of them a little different. I was trying to decide which style I liked better. On one of them my husband was like...wait a minute you put ME in the dingy and the dog in the boat with you!!! LOL Oh well! Hope you like them :)

Card Recipe: Boatloads of Fun Stampin up, Crazy Alphabet (retired SU), Other stamps. Ruby Red, Old Olive Cardstock SU. Tab punch SU, Mat Pat SU...

Criss Cross Card...

Here is a card I previously made with my Stamping Club. It is a very easy card to make but yet is very different from the normal card. :) I stamped the flower image on watercolor paper and used the watercolor crayons with a blender pen from Stampin Up to color it in. It is then cut out and mounted with a stampin dimensional. Thanks for looking :)

Card Recipe: Groovy Guava, Whisper white CS, Ginger Blossoms DSP, Watercolor paper, Spiral punch, Tab punch and Blender pen. All items are from Stampin Up!
